May 3rd: TacoQuila Block Party (Chicago)
Get ready for the ultimate summer kick-off at the inaugural TacoQuila Block Party—a high-energy outdoor celebration of tacos, tequila, and good vibes! Enjoy a delicious variety of tacos, refreshing margaritas, and tequila tastings, all set to live music from top DJs. The event will also feature food trucks, interactive games, and more surprises throughout the day. Bring your crew and your appetite—TacoQuila is where flavor and fun collide!
May 2025: DineNoire's Black Bar & Restaurant Week
Black Bar and Restaurant Week aims to highlight Black-owned bars, restaurants, and spirits brands in cities across the U.S. This annual, nationwide event takes place in select cities during the Month of May and lasts for one week in each city. Throughout the week, participating Black-owned venues and brands are featured on our site, offering exclusive specials to voucher holders on selected days. Chicago (May 4th-10th), Houston (May 11th-17th), DC (May 18th-24th), Atlanta (May 25th-31st)

June 14 2025: 9th Annual Juneteenth Black Bar Crawl
Get ready for the 9th annual Juneteenth Chicago Black Bar Crawl: Beach Edition—Chicago’s ultimate day of celebration, culture, and community—happening Saturday, June 15th! In partnership with DUO Vodka and Moor’s Beer, this event features a full day of vibes, food, music, and exclusive drink specials at every stop. We’ll kick things off in the South Loop with complimentary Brunch at Bellagio’s for the first 200 people and end the night at an epic Open Bar (VIP Only) Beach After Party at a secret location (TBA)!

MOVEMAKERS was founded in 2006 by six classmates from Howard University who shared a vision of creating premier events for young professionals in cities around the world. Today, through strategic partnerships with globally recognized brands, MOVEMAKERS has established a strong presence in both Chicago and Washington, DC. Signature events include the HU Bar Crawl (the largest Black bar crawl in the world), Blaque Mecca Block Party, Chicago Culture Ball, Rhythm and Beats, and more.
